Hand-beaten Singing Bowl 7 (13cm)
Singing bowls (also known as Tibetan Singing Bowls, rin gongs, Himalayan bowls or suzu gongs) are a type of bell but rather than hanging inverted or attached to a handle, singing bowls sit with the bottom surface resting.
Rubbing the rim of singing bowls causes them to vibrate and produce sound characterized by a fundamental frequency (first harmonic) and audible harmonic overtones (second and sometimes third harmonic).
Singing bowls are used worldwide for meditation, music, relaxation, and personal well-being. We have put together a basic guide which you can view by clicking here.
This bowl has a brassy, medium-high tone with sweet high harmonics intermixing with the harmonic bass note, with a good sustain.
PLEASE NOTE - Bowl is supplied complete with wooden beater - cushion not included.
